The State Bank of Pakistan is all set to introduce a separate account category called “NRP Rupee Value Account” for Overseas Pakistanis, who want to invest in Pakistan.

This account category will facilitate all the overseas Pakistanis or residents of Pakistan who have their assets in different countries to make an investment in Government Bonds issued in foreign currencies. Using this one can also invest in residential and commercial real estate and Pakistan Stock Exchange by commercial banks on a repatriable basis.

One can open this account and further operate it via digital mediums providing required documentation. The State Bank of Pakistan has also allowed banks in the country to provide further facilities to NRVA holders including the permission of minimum 3 years investment period in Real Estate and further inquiries will be facilitated from these banks.
