The Punjab Government has
allocated PKR 40 billion for multiple development projects across
Lahore, further strengthening the city’s infrastructure and urban growth. This
decision was made during a meeting on February 20, focusing on
ongoing and upcoming development initiatives.
The government’s flagship
housing initiative, “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar,” is making remarkable
progress, with 80 houses completed within four months.
Additionally, a record number of home loans have been disbursed, making
homeownership more accessible for residents.
Beyond real estate, the Punjab
Government is investing in essential sectors such as healthcare, agriculture,
and heritage conservation:
The total development budget
for Punjab has been increased from PKR 882 billion to PKR 1,048 billion,
with PKR 693 billion already released and PKR 401 billion spent
on various initiatives. Currently, 547 development projects are in
progress, including:
