Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a historic relief to the construction sector of the country and decided to open the construction sector from 14^th of April to facilitate the labour.

Details of the incentive package announced for the construction sector:

·        No Questions will be asked about the source of income from the investor who will invest in the construction sector this year.

·        A fix tax regime will be imposed on “per square yard” and “per square foot”.

·        For (Naya Pakistan Housing Program) NPHP constructions the tax impositions will be sliced down by 90%.

·        Withholding tax will also be waived off for all construction companies.

·        No Capital Gain Tax will be charged in case of family house sell.

·        Construction industry development board to be established.

·        Construction sector to be given “industry” status.
