Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed (Housing Minister) has announced a new two-kilometer long link road will be constructed to link LDA City Phase-I with Ferozpur Road providing another route to the LDA city Phase-I. Housing Minister Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed quoted that “LDA City scheme is a new city of the future which is rapidly moving towards completion”.
He also talked about the review progress made on this scheme, development work is in progress on an area of 4000-kanal in LDA City. Half of the development charges will be received from file holders and the respective procedure has also been finalized in this regard. To allot plots to 9,000 file holders the balloting will be held on 30th of November and working paper will be forwarded in the next governing body meeting for the approval. It is also decided to prequalify the contractors for doing different development works and for this purpose the respective firms are required to submit their bids by the date of 25th of October. All this discussion was done in a meeting having all the officials of LDA city.
NADRA (The National Database and Registration Authority) has extended the registration deadline for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP). As per officials, the due date is set to 15th of November.
A NADRA spokesperson while talking to the media added that the registration process was underway in full swing and growing day by day and told the media that they already received 1.4 million applications from across the country.
The authority is providing its services to all the applicant through its e-sahulat centres as well as through their website. Talking about the domestic and overseas Pakistanis who want to register can apply online on their site without any additional fee payment.
Residents from Karachi can register for the NPHP project at the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Liaquatabad and North Nazimabad facilitation centers.
PM Imran Khan had initiated the 2nd phase of NPHP registration process in July this year. He had also announced that the respective cabinet would approve laws for the banks with the aim to facilitate the provision of housing loans to the people with low and middle-income segments.
