The 'Maryam Ki Dastak' initiative, launched by
Punjab’s Finance Secretary, Mujahid Sherdil, is set to revolutionize public
service delivery by bringing essential government services directly to
citizens' doorsteps. As reported on May 17, this initiative ensures that facilitators
will assist citizens with completing forms, processing payments, and ensuring
prompt delivery of documents.
Interested individuals can register through the
'Dastak Facilitator Mobile App' and must meet specific criteria to participate.
According to Faisal Yousaf, Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board
(PITB), facilitators will undergo rigorous training, with only those scoring
70% or above being eligible.
Citizens can book services via the mobile app, web
portal, or helpline. The services are expected to launch in Lahore within three
to four weeks, with plans to expand to all districts of Punjab subsequently.
Maryam Ki Dastak aims to make public service delivery accessible, efficient,
and convenient for everyone.
