LDA (Lahore Development Authority) issued a notice about the development of approved societies that they must have to fall under the purview of LDA housing scheme rules 2014, section 15.

The reason behind this decision is to control the major issues of the city like smog and air pollution. LDA private housing schemes estate management Director also gave the following instructions to the developers: 

·         Keep a check to avoid the burning of waste inside or near to the residential premises.

·         Implement measures to avoid air pollution.

·         Keep the areas clean.

·         Make it sure that the vehicles used in society are not emitting smoke.

·         Make sure to develop enough parks and greenbelts to avoid the pollution and to keep the environment clean and healthy.
