Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan expressed his interest in the expansion of Pakistan’s housing sector. While talking to the federal secretary of housing and works, Iftekhar Ali Shallwani he said that Pakistan’s housing sector is expanding rapidly and that investment in the housing sector would also bring innovation in construction technology. In regards to the innovation in construction technology, he stated that Chinese companies will also invest in technology sharing and expertise. Secretary also invited the envoy to join the first international housing expo 2022 event which is happening in November this year.

 

Pakistan has initiated one of the largest house development initiatives aiming to provide inexpensive and decent housing for the low-income population. Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar and Naya Pakistan Housing Project (NPHP) both programs aim to enhance the country’s mortgage facilities by providing loans for up to 20 years.
