Capital Development
Authority (CDA) has announced the automation of residential and commercial
property records in the federal capital. CDA Chairman Anwarul Haq headed a CDA
Development Working Party which sanctioned a whooping PKR 170 million PC1 for
this automation initiative. Other officials from finance and planning
departments also attended this meeting.
This Automation project
is said to be awarded to a government firm on a government-to-government basis.
This chosen government firm is expected to computerize these records of 45
million papers within 2 years.
This chosen government firm will also maintain and operate this whole developed property record system. The real need behind this whole project is to tackle fraudulent activities and streamline the easy functioning of CDA’s Management.
